Mark Daniel was born in Trinidad and Tobago. In his twenties he left for New York, where he spent 12 years building a career in real estate and the mortgage industry before the financial crisis of 2008 changed the trajectory of everything. He came home carrying hard-earned experience alongside 33 years of work as a Pastor and Theologian, and he started building companies.
For most of those years, he struggled in ways that had nothing to do with vision or drive. He has ADHD. Five great ideas arriving at the same time, each one feeling equally urgent. Administrative work swallowing the hours that were supposed to go to strategy. Tech systems that needed constant attention. Operational tasks that looked simple to everyone else but cost him days he did not have. He was not the bottleneck because he lacked ability. He was the bottleneck because there was no infrastructure around him.
GetStaff AI is the answer he spent years looking for. Two years in the building. Several near-launches he pulled back because he always saw room to make it better first. That particular tension, between a perfectionist standard and a brain that never sits still, is exactly what this platform was designed to resolve.
Beyond GetStaff AI, Mark runs Sankofa Publishers and is the author of "When God Wore Chains," an examination of Christianity, colonisation, and the Caribbean mind. The thread connecting all of it is the same: a genuine belief that the people who were counted out are exactly the ones who deserve to win.
